The Walksnail Avatar HD Goggles X are the flagship goggles from Caddx’s Walksnail Avatar digital FPV ecosystem — featuring dual 1080p OLED screens, 100FPS transmission, and 22ms ultra-low latency through H.265 encoding. Built for FPV pilots who want digital HD quality with analog-style flexibility, the Goggles X add HDMI input and output, AV analog input, built-in head tracking, and a modular upgradeable design to the established Walksnail platform.
Why choose the Walksnail Avatar HD Goggles X?
The Avatar HD system utilises industry-leading H.265 encoding technology to provide 1080p/100FPS FPV video quality with low latency, providing an immersive and responsive experience. The Goggles X stand out in the digital FPV goggle market for their analog compatibility — the AV IN port lets you fly with analog cameras or systems through the same goggles, making them a genuine all-in-one solution for pilots transitioning from analog to digital or running mixed fleets. Pair them with our DJI-compatible and Walksnail-compatible flight controllers for a complete digital FPV build.
Key features
Dual 1080p OLED — 100FPS, 22ms latency
Dual 1080p OLED screens deliver deep blacks and high contrast — significantly better image quality than LCD alternatives for FPV use. H.265 encoding provides 1080p/100FPS FPV video quality with ultra-low latency for a smooth, responsive live view at speed.
HDMI input and output + AV analog input
HDMI input supports external video sources including Windows PCs and other HDMI output devices. HDMI output allows sharing the goggle feed to an external screen. The AV IN interface supports analog signals — making the Goggles X compatible with analog FPV cameras via the optional Extension Board, or directly for compatible systems.
Built-in gyro — head tracking
An integrated gyroscope provides real-time head tracking compatible with gimbal mounts and camera systems — allowing pilots to pan and tilt cameras by moving their head for cinematic control during flight.
IPD and diopter adjustment — replaceable lenses
Features adjustable IPD from 57-72mm and diopter adjustment from +2.0 to -6.0 for different vision needs. Lenses are replaceable — a wider range of prescription lenses are available separately from Caddx.
Modular upgradeable design
The upper part of the goggles is removable, allowing for easy maintenance and upgrades without needing to replace the entire unit. The front cover is also DIY-replaceable for custom antenna setups. Caddx has committed to releasing next-generation receiving modules for the Goggles X platform.
WiFi and Bluetooth
Built-in WiFi and Bluetooth allow wireless firmware updates, FC adjustment, and footage sharing via the Walksnail app — without needing a laptop or USB connection.
Infrared sensing
Integrated infrared sensing provides automatic detection for improved goggle interaction — part of the all-in-one design philosophy of the Goggles X platform.

Build compatibility
The Walksnail Avatar HD Goggles X is built exclusively for the Walksnail Avatar VTX ecosystem. It is not compatible with other FPV systems or third-party brands — confirm your VTX model before purchase. Analog input is supported via AV IN — the optional Goggles X Extension Board (sold separately) expands analog compatibility further. Battery is not included and must be purchased separately — the goggles accept 7-26V input. Pair with components from our FPV VTX collection for a complete Walksnail build.
Note: HDMI input is compatible with Windows PCs and other HDMI output devices only — it does not support HDMI input from iPhones or iPads. A softer foam faceplate is available separately from Caddx for pilots requiring enhanced comfort.
