The DakeFPV F405 pushes to 8S and 70A continuous through an upgraded ESC with Bluejay firmware, 3oz copper PCB, and TVS spike protection — giving you genuine headroom for aggressive 6S freestyle builds and the flexibility to run 7S or 8S for heavier long-range platforms. Official ArduPilot support
The DakeFPV F405 has an officially maintained ArduPilot target — flash directly through Mission Planner for GPS navigation, autonomous waypoint missions, position hold, and return-to-home. Also fully compatible with INAV and Betaflight for freestyle and racing builds.
ICM42688P gyro with 16MB blackbox
The ICM42688P delivers low-noise, vibration-resistant gyro data with excellent RPM filtering compatibility. 16MB onboard blackbox provides detailed flight logs for PID tuning and troubleshooting without an SD card.
Dual camera switching
Switch between two camera inputs (CAM1 and CAM2) directly from your transmitter mid-flight — useful for cinematic builds carrying both a dedicated FPV camera and an action camera, or for switching between day and night cameras on long-range builds.
8S capable — 70A continuous ESC
The BX 8S 70A ESC handles 3-8S LiPo input with 70A continuous and 75A peak per channel — running Bluejay firmware for smooth throttle response, bidirectional DSHOT, and RPM telemetry. Supports DSHOT300 and DSHOT600 protocols.
3oz copper PCB + TVS protection
Upgraded 3oz copper PCB thickness reduces resistance and improves current distribution across the ESC. The onboard TVS protection diode absorbs voltage spikes from power-on surges and crash impacts, protecting the stack from common electrical failure modes.
DJI O3 direct plug-in
6-pin direct plug-in support for DJI O3, RunCam Link, Caddx Vista, and DJI Air Unit V1 — no rewiring or adapters required for digital HD FPV builds.
4-level battery indicator + onboard barometer
An onboard 4-level battery capacity indicator shows charge state on power-up. The built-in barometer supports altitude hold in INAV and ArduPilot without requiring an external module.

Build compatibility
Standard 30.5×30.5mm M3 mounting — fits most 5-inch and 7-inch freestyle frames. Always install the included 1000µF capacitor on the ESC battery pads before first power-on to prevent voltage spike damage. If using an SBUS receiver alongside a DJI Air Unit, disconnect the SBUS wire from the Air Unit harness to prevent signal conflicts. Pair with components from our FPV VTX collection for a complete build.
Firmware note: Ships pre-flashed with Betaflight. To flash ArduPilot or INAV, hold the BOOT button while connecting USB to enter DFU mode, then use Mission Planner or INAV Configurator respectively.
